Kelly Maria Ripa is an American actress, dancer and writer, and TV producer. She has also presented a talk show. Kelly is best known for her roles in the famous ABC matinee time soap drama All My Children (1990 – 2002, 2010), and the ABC sitcom Hope and Faith (2003 -2006). Kelly has been a co-host for the TV show Live! with Kelly and Ryan since 2001.

Kelly was born in New Jersey in October 1970. Her mother was a homemaker and her father was a president of the labor union and also a van driver. Kelly has a sister Linda, who is an author. Kelly has very mixed ancestry and part of their genetic makeup is Italian, and Irish as well. She was raised as a Catholic.

Education And Dancing

Kelly went to Eastern Regional High School, and she learned ballet dancing ever since she was a little child. She also learned to play the guitar at a very young age. She took part in local plays and theatre tables. While performing the Ugly Duckling she was discovered and there her career started.

She has received several awards in her lifetime including the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show. She also got an Emmy Award for her work at the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.
